Ashley Tisdale was born to Lisa and Mike Tisdale. Her father runs a construction company. She has an elder sister, Jennifer Tisdale, who’s also an actress and model. Her mother is of Jewish descent so she considers herself Jewish.

She appeared in over 100 commercials in her childhood. When she was at 8, she landed a role in the Broadway musical ‘Les Miserables’. She next appeared in ‘Gypsy: A Musical Fable’ and ‘The Sound of Music’. Her guest appearances include ‘George Lopez’, ‘Smart Guy’, ‘7th Heaven’, ‘Grounded for Life’, ‘Strong Medicine’, ‘Charmed’, and ‘ Beverly Hills, 90210′.

Ashley Tisdale played Maddie Fitzpatrick on ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ and its spin-off ‘The Suite Life on Deck’. Maddie was the jack of all trades. She worked as a teenage candy counter girl, a cashier at the Cluck Bucket, and a counselor for her school’s Summer Camp Program. She was basically from a lower middle class family and was very hard working, outspoken and intelligent as well. Her character was very much liked by the viewers and she became every one’s favorite.
